Spring Auditions!

Bruin Harmony is pleased to announce that we are holding spring auditions!

When: Thursday and Friday, May 17th and 18th, between 6:00 and 10:00 p.m.

Where: Haines A82 (it's on the basement floor).

How: sign up by clicking here and follow the simple instructions.

What you should prepare: each auditionee should prepare a verse and a chorus (about a minute) of a song that best represents the strengths of their voice. We may also do a short range and/or vocal memory test. If you are also auditioning as a beatboxer, please prepare a short sample of beats that demonstrate your versatility and ability to keep tempo. 

Walk ins: walk ins are welcome but preference will be given to those who sign up ahead of time.

Bruin Harmony wins Best A Cappella Entry at Spring Sing!

Bruin Harmony is thrilled to win Best A Cappella Entry and Best Participation this year at Spring Sing 2012. They would also like to congratulate Signature A Cappella and Random Voices A Cappella for their outstanding performances! This year was a blast.

Thank you again to all the amazing people that made the concert possible: Cathy and the staff of Powell Library for being such generous hosts, UCLA's Signature A Cappella for opening, Anh Nguyen for videoing, Nick Smith for providing lighting, sound, camera equipment and for editing the videos, and last but certainly not least, thank you to every person who made it to the show and also to those who couldn't make it thinking of us elsewhere. We never cease to be amazed by the support shown to Bruin Harmony by our friends, family, and the UCLA and surrounding communities; it is truly inspiring and we cannot wait to get back on the stage to show you something new!

2012-2013 Board of Directors Elected!

A huge congratulations to the newly elected Board of Directors (BOD) for the 2012-2013 school year! Max Hamilton will be replacing graduating senior Ben Davies as President, Andrew Olsen will remain Music Director, and Jackson McNeill will replace graduating senior David Crane as Business Manager. With the group in such safe and capable hands, another fantastic year is surely bruing (too easy!)

Winter Concert 2012!

Knock. Knock. Who's there? YOU ARE. At our concert this Friday!

Another fun-filled quarter is coming to an end at UCLA, and you know what that means...it's time for your resident all-male a cappella group to bring you a little joy before Finals week! Take a break from studying and let the men of Bruin Harmony serenade you in the usually hushed hallways of learning, known fondly as Powell Library. The lovely ladies of Signature A Cappella will be opening, followed by our very own Ryan Chapin and Jackson McNeil at intermission with a brilliant set of hilarious duets! And here's the bestest of news: Admission is totally FREE! Live a little, come and see some magical music making!
